The progressive era
Changes From the previous eras
In this era women were able to strive in achieving freedoms for themselves (suffrage) and desires that could improve their everyday lives (prohibition) through the help of the NAWSA. Also, people began to discourage monopolies (muckrakers) and things were put in place to help prevent the creation of monopolies (Clayton Antitrust Act) so that the common people weren't impacted much more.
Progressive amendments
Through out the progressive era, progressors
pushed for change in the government and
community to reach 4 goals; to protect social
welfare, to promote moral involvement,
to create economic reform, and to foster
efficiency.

Core American Values
Women experienced Nationalism the best during the Progressive Era. Now that they were able to vote, they became excited about who and what they would vote for.
Women also experienced one of the greatest work ethics in this era. They would not stop protesting and fighting until they received suffrage.
Muckrakers were able to help those in need. Their hope was to show Americans both rich and poor the corrupt business and government issues that occurred in their everyday lives. They wanted to expose these issues to help resolve them to benefit the common people.
